WHEN: May 13, 2023 through September 18, 2023
(Approximately 18 weeks)
WHAT: Work with experienced farm manager an average of 10 hours a week at St. Mary of the Lake/ Gary Rotary Urban Farm supplying organic vegetables to the monthly St. Mary’s Food Pantry. Work hours are flexible however being available on the third Monday of June, July, August and September from 7 am to 11 am for the Food Panty Distribution will be a positive.

STIPEND: Total season stipend of $2700 (One position available)
ELIGIBLE
APPLICANT: Gary resident 18 years and older interested in learning and assisting with all aspects of urban organic vegetable farming including community outreach on the benefits of locally grown food and healthy eating. Students in a related field and residents of the 46403 zip code of Gary are encouraged to apply.
