Virtual meetings are proving to be very popular. Eighteen (18) Rotarians were present for our meeting on February 4. Plus, we were joined by 6 members of the Board of Directors of the Gary YWCA. The entire meeting was a discussion of how Gary Rotary Club, in its 100th year, could cooperate with the Gary YWCA celebrating its 100th year as well. Discussion centered needed improvements to the swimming pool and the outdoor playground. YWCA Executive Director Caren Jones provided information on the use of the swimming pool as well as other programs at the"Y". Once the costs of needed improvements to the "Y" are determined, Gary Rotary will take on the task of raising funds to help out.
