At the August 19, St. Mary of the Lake Food Pantry, 400 pounds of produce came from the Gary Rotary Urban Garden. Pictured are Gary Rotary President Joyce Davis, and chief gardener, Bill Carey. Patrons of the food pantry were overwhelmed with the fresh produces that was available. The produce included egg plant, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, squash, collard greens, and cabbage. On the date of this pantry, 102 families were served, with a total of 350 individuals.
