Gary Rotary Club members recently voted to support the following community organizations:

Sojourner Truth House Walk, June 11, 2022; The Walk for STH is an annual event to support the women and children experiencing homelessness and hunger at Sojourner Truth House. Participants raise critical dollars through peer-to-peer fundraising online and in-person. Each year, the Walk for STH provides space and community for those affected by homelessness as well as those who are passionate about providing hope and help. $500 Sponsor level.
Crisis Center Wine Fest; June 9, 2022: Crisis Center began the Rap Line (crisis hotline) in 1971 in response to the tragic suicide of teenager Karen Leshk in 1971. Co-founders the Rev. Dr. Donald G. Capp and Shirley Caylor used their persistence to obtain initial funding from the city of Gary's revenue sharing funds, and the center has grown to include the Alternative House emergency shelter for children and youth, Safe Place outreach to youth in crisis and Teen Court prevention and early intervention services for youth. $500 Rose level sponsorship
Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana, Dine with the Chefs; June 5, 2022; A one-of-a-kind epicurean experience; purchased two tickets to be auctioned off to club members.
CYO Camp Lawrence; Gary Rotary will sponsor one youth from the City of Gary for a one week experience at Camp Lawrence.
